Quest Capital Trustees was set up in 2007 by Paul Murray & David Kavanagh, our goal in setting up Quest was, and remains, providing a hands on personal service to our clients and their advisors. Over the years we have continued to strive to increase our service offering to our clients and their advisors whilst always maintaining our focus on service.
I qualified as an accountant in 1999 and a tax consultant in 2002, I also hold a Diploma in Pensions from the Life Insurance Association (LIA), also awarded in 1999, and a Diploma in Trust and Estate Planning jointly awarded from the Law Society and Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 2006.
I started my career in banking before moving to a Big 4 accountancy firm, after several years I moved in to the pensions industry and since then I have held a number of senior management roles in my 20 + years in the industry. I have been co-author is the Irish Taxation Institutes book ‘Pensions: Revenue Law and Practice’ since circa 2006 and have written and lectured extensively in all areas of pensions.
I am a Qualified Financial Advisor and Pension Trustee Practitioner and hold a Bsc in Business & Finance. I have worked in a number of different roles in pensions my 15 + years in the industry. I began my career as head of administration and client servicing for a large self-directed pension provider and was involved in the introduction of a variety of self-directed structures to the market during that time. I then spent a number of years working in the advisory end of the market providing pension and investment advice to high net worth clients. This led me to the belief that a purely service based self-directed pension provider was missing in the market.
